Nibou aims to provide users day-to-day support with general emotional and psychological problems. Our therapists are available to chat 24/7, giving users helpful feedback during their most vulnerable and difficult times. Nibou does not aim to treat serious medical and psychiatric problems and will automatically suggest a qualified professional to users who need them.
With in-person and online therapy being exceedingly expensive and cumbersome for the vast majority of individuals, Nibou aims to provide accessible and affordable care via its mobile app. Users can access Nibou's qualified therapists and experts at the touch of a button in the convenience of their home or on the go without any lengthy therapy signups or hefty price points. Nibou is also completely confidential and secure, ensuring users the utmost in privacy.
Nibou therapists and experts are licensed, trained, experienced, and accredited psychologists (PhD / PsyD), marriage and family therapists (LMFT), clinical social workers (LCSW / LMSW), or licensed professional experts (LPC). All of them have a Masters Degree or a Doctorate Degree in their field. They have been qualified and certified by their country's respective professional board after successfully completing the necessary education, exams, training and practice. While their experience, expertise and background vary, they all possess at least 2 years and 1,000 hours of hands-on experience.
Nibou charges users AED 3 per minute. This will only apply during times the therapist or expert is actively engaging with the user (typing) to avoid any supplementary charges.
Nibou matches users with therapists based on focus and area of expertise as well as availability. If you are not satisfied with a given expert you can easily toggle your chat app to be matched with a new expert.
When you re-enter Nibou to start a new or continued chat you may choose your previous expert if he or she is online. You will also be asked whether or not you wish to share your previous chat history, which you may choose to do in order to facilitate a continued conversation and chat with an expert who will understand your background.
